How to Restore a Missing Calculator in Windows XP
- 1). Insert your Microsoft Windows XP installation disc into your CD-ROM or optical drive. Close the drive.
- 2). Click the "Start" button, located in the bottom left hand corner of your monitor. Click "Control Panel." Click "Add/Remove Programs."
- 3). Click "Add/Remove Windows Components." Click "Accessories and Utilities." Click the "Details" button.
- 4). Click "Accessories," click the "Details" button again and check the "Calculator" box.
- 5). Click "OK." The calculator will be reinstalled onto your computer.
- 1). Insert your external USB drive into a USB port of the computer that has a copy of the Microsoft Windows XP calculator loaded.
- 2). Navigate to "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories\Calculator." Right click on "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories\Calculator." Click "Copy." Navigate to your external USB drive. Right click on your external USB drive. Click "Paste." Allow the calculator to copy onto your external USB drive.
- 3). Insert your external USB drive into a USB port on your computer. Navigate to your external USB drive. Right click on the "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories\Calculator" file. Click "Copy."
- 4). Open your "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories" directory on your computer. Right click on an area in this directory. Click Paste. Allow the calculator file to copy onto your computer.
