How to Build a Yu-Gi-Oh! Harpie Deck
- 1). Insert three each of Harpie Queen and Harpies' Hunting Ground cards. When you sacrifice a Harpie Queen, you can draw one Harpies' Hunting Ground into your hand. Cast the spell card and you will destroy an opponent's trap or spell card while giving all Winged Beast cards a 200 point increase in their attack power.
- 2). Fill your deck with three Cyber Harpie Lady monster cards. While this monster has no boost on her own, she starts with an attack power of 1800 and will benefit from boosts given by the other cards in your deck.
- 3). Place Harpie Lady 1 cards into your deck. For each of these monsters you have in the field, your Wind type monsters will add 300 points to their attack power. This works well when you also have Cyber Harpie Lady monsters on the field as well.
- 4). Create a combination with the Elegant Egotist spell card and the Harpie Lady Sisters monster card. Using the Elegant Egotist spell, you can summon a Harpie Lady Sisters card into play. This monster has an attack power of 1950 but, if summoned later when you have additional boosts, can quickly become your most powerful attacker.
- 5). Level the battlefield later in a duel by having Harpies' Pet Baby Dragon in your deck. This monster card gains abilities based on the Harpie cards you have in play. With three or more Harpies in play, you can destroy one card of your opponent each turn, double the Baby Dragon's attack and defense power, and prevent your Harpies from being the targets of attacks.
- 6). Add other non-Harpie monster cards into your deck, such as Hunter Owl who receives a boost for Wind monsters in play and Birdface who allows a Harpie to be summoned if he is sent to the Graveyard.
- 7). Use the Icarus Attack card to keep your opponent from building his army. This trap card allows you to sacrifice one Winged Beast type monster to destroy any two cards on the field. Use this if you need to get rid of a powerful monster or spell card.
- 8). Fill your deck with spell cards that destroy other spell and trap cards. Because your deck is based on monsters granting bonuses, this won't impact you negatively. Cards to use include Heavy Storm, which destroys all trap and spell cards, or Mystical Space Typhoon, which destroys one such card.
- 9). Use one Mirror Force card as a backup trap. This card negates an attacking monster and destroys all attacking monsters your opponent controls. The Mirror Force is a good way to clean out your opponent's side of the field.
