Using the Windows XP Search Tool

• 1). Click the "Start" button from your Windows desktop.
  
  
• 2). Click on "Search" and then click on "Click here to use Search Companion."
  
  
• 3). Select "Pictures, Music or Video" from the menu titled "What do you want to search for?"
  
  
• 4). Click the "Music" box, then enter "*.*" under "All or part of the file name."
  
  
• 5). Click the "Search" button to begin your search.
  
  

Using the Windows Vista or Windows 7 Search Tool

• 1). Click the "Start" button from your Windows desktop.
  
  
• 2). Locate the "start search" box. It should be located at the bottom of the menu.
  
  
• 3). Enter "kind:music" in the "start search" box.
