Make Paving Stone Molds
1Create a plywood paving stone mold. Trace the shape of the mold onto a piece of plywood. Then cut out side pieces that will be about an inch deeper than you want the paver to be. Assemble the mold by applying wood glue to each edge and then nailing the piece together to create an open box shape. Allow the glue to dry and then smear an epoxy along the interior edges of the mold. This will create a smooth edge for the pavers.
2
Make an earth paving stone mold. To make this type of mold use a measuring tape, some spray paint, a shovel and a place to dig. Start by measuring out the sides of the paving stone mold on the ground. Use the spray paint to mark where to dig. Next use a flat faced shovel to dig out the mold following the painted guidelines. Dig down about four inches. Scrape out shape and make sure the sides and bottom are even and level.
3
Build a curved edge paving stone mold using PVC pipe. Saw a PVC pipe in half. This is going to be the front of the curved paving stone. Next measure and cut out the base of the mold and the three flat sides of the mold from plywood. Assemble the mold by first gluing and nailing together the plywood pieces, and then glue the flat edges of the PVC pipe cross section to the plywood. The plywood sides are going to extend beyond the PVC curved edges slightly. Apply the epoxy to the interior edges of the mold and allow to dry.
