How Do I Change Programs That Start at Boot?
- 1). Right-click on the "Start" button and select "Explore." The "Start Menu" window should pop up immediately.
- 2). Click on the "Programs" folder in the left panel. Browse through the list to find the program you want to start up automatically after booting.
- 3). Right-click the program on the right panel and select "Copy." Do not copy the entire folder. Only select the executable program icon with an .exe extension (you will probably have to open the folder to find the icon).
- 4). Click "Programs" on the left panel. Right-click the "Startup" folder. Select "Paste."
- 5). Repeat Step 2 through Step 4 to add more programs to Startup. If you do not want a program to start automatically, find the program on the "Startup" list and hit "Delete." This will not delete the program. It will only delete the shortcut from the 'Startup' folder to prevent it from opening automatically when you boot your computer.
