Do you list your skill set when you write your resume? It is amazing how many job seekers do not list their skills when writing their new resume. Why not? This has always baffled me; these skills are the most important factor in your resume writing let alone for your job search. Following your successful summary profile you desperately need to list your skills. This is not a difficult task at all; what is your profession? Are you an accountant, an administrative professional, or a culinary chef? Whatever your profession is you must provide a list of skills for resume writing that encumbers what you do, or what you are searching for in your career.

Do you write your resume in a very standard format that looks just like every other person that writes their own? Too many resumes look just a like, and so…. many of them look like a standard text message. Do you honestly believe that a hiring manager will want to review your resume if they have no clue on what skills you have to offer and you don't even stand out of the rest; you may give them a basic and boring objective of what you are wanting but you do not include some of the most important elements needed to be noticed or recognized. Give yourself some value, especially if you have struggled through two to four years of college and set up with a strong career path for yourself.

Below you will find a list of skills that a professional might want to utilize in resume writing; this particular set is for an Operations Management. But if you would take a little time and think about what someone is required to do in a particular field then start writing them down and use the ones that have priority and makes the most sense. Another option would be to go online and do a (job description) search for where ever your career path is leading you. So many people literally throw goods job opportunities right out of the window because they lack either the knowledge or the ambition to do it right the first time. If you are seriously having such a difficult time with this task, then it is highly recommended to hire a professional writer.
