How to Cover a Closet Flange
- 1). Inspect the closet flange to make sure it has been properly installed. Check to see that it is secure to the floor and working properly. Measure from the floor to the top of the flange with a tape measure to determine how much it is sticking up from the ground.
- 2). Record the measurements of the height of the sleeve and install a closet flange sleeve over top of the closet flange to cover it up. Slide the sleeve directly over the top of the flange and push down to secure it.
- 3). Check to see that there are no gaps between the bottom of the sleeve and the floor. Verify that the top of the sleeve is completely covering the the closet flange and there is minimal wiggle room.
- 4). Flush the toilet a few times to make sure the everything is working properly and the sleeve is staying in place.
