How to Disassemble a Yugo SKS
- 1). Check that your rifle is unloaded.
- 2). Eject the rifle tool case by pressing the butt plate cover.
- 3). Remove the driving spring assembly from the bolt carrier.
- 4). Press the magazine release, located in front of the trigger guard, and open the magazine.
- 5). Pull the operating handle back and remove the bolt carrier.
- 6). Separate the bolt from the bolt carrier assembly.
- 7). Rotate the gas cylinder tube lock upward and lift the hand-guard. Remove the piston and gas cylinder tube.
- 8). Lift the gas cylinder tube and slide out the piston.
- 9). Engage the trigger safety and press the button directly behind a trigger guard.
