How to Draw Madara
- 1). Review your reference picture of Madara. Make note of his distinct costume features which will bring out his likeness, such as his armor, long hair and custom sandals.
- 2). Sketch the rough draft of Madara. Draw a circle to map out his head and sketch a vertical line down the center of the circle. Draw two horizontal lines across the vertical guideline, these will map the placement of the eyes. Sketch a line extending from the bottom of the circle to map out the spine. Create the torso and hips of Madara by drawing two squares along your spine. Map his arms and legs by drawing two lines extending from the torso and two lines extending from the hips.
- 3). Pencil the outline of Madara's face. Create the outline of Madara's hair using your circle as a guide. Allow his bangs to overlap the sides of his face. Extend the bangs past his head and draw Madara's chin. Create the outline of his eyes using your horizontal guidelines drawn previously. Draw his eyes slanted and constrict his pupils. Make sure Madara's right eye is covered by his hair. Draw Madara's nose using a triangle shape with its point facing downwards. Sketch Marada's mouth in a stern expression to capture his likeness.
- 4). Draw the outline of Madara's body. Start at Madara's neck and follow your guidelines to create the basic shape of his body and armor. Allow the shape of Madara's shoulder pads and chest piece to cover the majority of his neck. Draw the shape of his long hair behind his body. Sketch the outline of Madara's skirt, gloves and sandals. Sketch openings in the sandals for his toes. Do not draw any inner details of Madara's outfit; focus on making a proportional outline first.
- 5). Erase the markings of your rough draft and correct any mistakes you find in your outline. Draw the inner details of Madara's clothing and armor. Sketch Madara's head band below his hair line. Create the different plates of Madara's armor by drawing horizontal lines across the chest piece and shoulder pads. Add folds to Madara's skirt and pants to give the clothing a natural look. Draw the detail of his legs wraps using criss-cross lines. Sketch Madara's toes into the outline of his sandals.
- 6). Review your drawing a final time and erase any extra smudges and markings found on your picture. Ink your drawing by tracing over your lines with a black pen. Work slowly and correct any other mistakes before inking. Erase all your pencil markings for a clean look. Add shading to your picture using a cross hatching method with your pen to complete the picture.
