How to Duck Dive on a Seven Foot Board
- 1). Lay flat on the board and paddle hard when coming upon a wave to build momentum and speed.
- 2). Take a deep breath, place one foot on the back end of the board and grab hold of the board's rails at shoulder level when within a few feet from the wave.
- 3). Keep arms straight and right when the wave is passing overhead, lean forward and push the nose of the board straight down into the water, fully submerging the body and going as deep into water as possible to avoid getting pushed back by wave currents.
- 4). Use hind leg to apply pressure to the back of the board, pushing the nose of the board back to the surface once the wave has passed.
