How to Put Sand in a Crawl Space

    • 1). Remove any trash or debris in the crawl space.

    • 2). Scoop up the sand with the shovel.

    • 3). Pour the sand in piles about 1/2 to 1 foot high every 5 to 6 feet in the crawl space.

    • 4). Brush the sand around the crawl space to create an even coat of sand all over the floor. Add more sand if needed. The sand coating should be about 1 to 2 inches thick.
