How to Draw a Fairy Girl Step-by-Step
- 1). Draw an oval for your fairy girl's face. Narrow the oval at the bottom, toward the area where you want the chin to be. Draw two teardrop shapes for eyes, with the narrow ends of the teardrops facing toward the outer edge of the oval. Draw a horizontal line in each of these teardrops for eyelids, then draw four or five vertical lines over each eye for eyelashes. Draw a slightly arched line over each eye for eyebrows, narrowing each eyebrow toward the edge of the face. Draw a half circle in each eye, attaching it to the undersides of the eyelids. These are the irises.
- 2). Begin a line just below the eyes and extend it toward the bottom of the oval, creating a slight curvature where you want the nose to end. Create a second line similar to the first, but with the curvature facing the opposite edge of the paper. Draw these two lines side by side and as far apart as the width of the nose. The curvatures are the edges of the nose.
- 3). Draw a line that looks like the top part of a heart. Place this line just beneath the nose. This forms the top lip. Draw a downward curved line beneath this one, attaching both sides of the curve to the top, heart-shaped line. This forms the mouth. Draw a vertical line between these two lines to separate the top and bottom lip.
- 4). Start a line just above the oval for hair. Bring the line down each side of the face. Make these lines wavy to give the hair a textured shape. Draw two lines from the bottom of the oval, curving each of them toward the outer edges of the paper to form shoulders. Extend the hair lines so they fall over the shoulders.
- 5). Draw a long line extending from behind the head. Extend the line at a 45-degree angle toward the edge of the paper, and then give the line a sharp hook and bring it toward the bottom of the paper. Bring the line down below your fairy girl's shoulders, then curve it toward the fairy girl to form an arch. This forms a wing. Draw this same configuration on both sides of your fairy girl.
- 6). Color your fairy girl with marker or color pencils. Use flesh tones for skin. Light orange will suffice. Color her eyes bright blue. Use yellow or brown for her hair. Color the wings silver or light blue, with white blended in. Use angled strokes as you apply the coloring, allowing the color lines to overlap until your fairy girl is completely filled in.
