BMW Sunroof Wind Deflector Installation
- 1). Open the sunroof completely.
- 2). Slide the J-shaped end of one mounting bracket into the space between the roof of the car and the sunroof frame at the driver's side front corner of the sunroof opening. Repeat in the passenger's side front corner of the opening with the other bracket.
- 3). Pour a small amount of alcohol onto the cloth. Scrub the bottom edge of the deflector where it will contact the roof of the car.
- 4). Peel the paper backing from the rubber seal strip to reveal the adhesive. Apply the strip, adhesive side down, to the entire bottom edge of the deflector where it will contact the roof of the car. Trim any excess with the scissors.
- 5). Position the deflector on the roof, lining up the holes in the mounting brackets with the holes in the top of the deflector.
- 6). Insert a screw into one of the holes in the top of the deflector and through the hole in the bracket below. Repeat on the other side.
- 7). Thread a plastic nut onto one screw until hand-tight. Hold the nut with one hand and tighten the screw with the screwdriver using the other hand. Repeat on the other side.
