How to Connect a Woofer to a Pioneer GM-5300T Car Amplifier

    • 1). Cut the speaker wire into two 2-foot long sections. Speaker wire contains two individual wires, so make sure to strip each end of each of the wires.

    • 2). Connect one length of wire to the terminal cup located in the subwoofer box. The terminal cup is the connection point between the subwoofer and the amplifier. Connect the other end of the wire to the terminals located on the backside of the subwoofer. Ensure that the positive terminals of the terminal cup and subwoofer are connected together and that the two negative terminals are connected together.

    • 3). Place the subwoofer in the opening of the box and fasten it with screws. Ensure that the cone of the subwoofer faces outward while the magnet is inside the subwoofer box.

    • 4). Connect the second length of wire to the terminal cup located on the outside of the subwoofer box. Attach the other end of this wire to the Pioneer GM 5300-T amplifier. Ensure that the polarity of the wires match.
