How to Replace the Tires on an M105 Trailer

    • 1). Place the M105 trailer on to a flat surface. Connect the trailer to your vehicle and engage the parking brake on the vehicle. Place the floor jack or scissor underneath the trailer so it is close to the wheel which you will be carrying out the work on. Raise the jack up so the trailer comes off the ground.

    • 2). Use a lug wrench to remove the lug bolts. The wheels on the trailer are fairly big in comparison to general car tires, so get some assistance in lifting the wheel away from the wheel studs and moving it to a work area.

    • 3). Place a tire iron underneath the lip of the tire. Use your hands to lift the iron upward and pry the tire. Work the tire iron all the way around the edges of the wheel until the rim can be removed.

    • 4). Lay the new wheel over the rim. Use the tire iron in a similar style to how you removed the old wheel. Pry the tire on to the rim with the tire iron until it it completely secured around the rim. With some assistance, lift the wheel onto the wheel studs of the M105 trailer. Fix in place by tightening the lug bolts.

    • 5). Use an air compressor to pump up the tire to the correct pressure. Repeat the process on all of the trailer tires to ensure each tire has the correct tread depth and pressure.
