    • 1). Open the hood and remove the Yukon's negative battery cable from the battery with the battery wrench.

    • 2). Climb under the Yukon with the drain pan, box wrench set and new fuel filter. Follow the fuel lines away from the gas tank until you locate the fuel filter, along the frame rail about halfway to the engine.

    • 3). Remove the Yukon's fuel lines from the filter using the box wrench set. Pull the old filter out of the retaining band by hand and set it in the drain pan.

    • 4). Slide the new fuel filter into the retaining band by hand. Make sure the filter flow arrow points toward the Yukon's engine.

    • 5). Put the fuel lines on the new filter with the box wrench set. Climb out from under the Yukon with the drain pan, old filter and box wrenches. Reconnect the negative battery cable to the Yukon's battery.

    • 6). Turn the Yukon's ignition tumbler to the run position. Count to 10 and shut it off. Repeat this once more before starting the Yukon.
