You Can"t Spoil Someone With Too Much Loving
Qualities are ranked, judged and categorized, some higher, some lower than others.
We tend to think of one quality as good and another as bad.
Depending on where we rank on any particular day, we can either end up on the top of the quality continuum or on the bottom.
In order to escape this swinging pendulum, let's take a tiny quantum leap (it's really not that difficult) and say we all have a nature.
This is basic physics, not anything new.
In other words, like all things in this world, we are made of certain stuff, and that stuff is the same in us all.
Even though my neighbor and I look different, the juice that put us together is the same in us both.
Now try standing silently next to someone you have nothing in common with.
When your mind starts chattering and telling you all the reasons this person is different from you, tell it to be quiet.
Just stand there and feel-no thinking allowed.
Don't try to do anything other than be next to that person.
If we can shut off the mind long enough, something quite incredible happens.
We begin to pick up on the energy-a force field emanating from the person standing there.
It's not simply that person's vibration; it's beyond that.
A vibration is personal.
Much of the time it is used to distinguish one person from another.
This feeling is the opposite of separateness; it breaks down the walls of isolation and goes right to the heart.
It is familiar, it is soothing, and it is who we are.
This is love, the glue that connects us to one another.
When we love from this place, we heal others and ourselves simultaneously.
From this vantage point there is no downside to loving.
Taken off the continuum, love becomes a state of being, as natural as breathing.
All the manipulative aspects we often associate with loving have been removed, and we are loved solely for our humanness, never in spite of it.
This kind of love never damages, and we can never love anyone too much.
When we see beyond the personality and connect at the core, we open up to a world we never knew existed.
The more we are loved, the more we recognize the feeling as our true nature.
It reinforces what we already know and out of eternal gratitude, we love back.
