Homemade Pill Crusher
- 1). Find a suitable mortar and pestle with which to crush your pills. A mortar can be a pill container or sturdy bowl. A pestle is any blunt object suitable for grinding the pills, such as a large metal spoon or non-sharp knife.
- 2). Lay the pill on a section of wax paper. The wax paper should be large enough to fold completely over the pill two times.
- 3). Fold the edges of wax paper over the pill, forming a square envelope enclosing the pill.
- 4). Place the pill in its envelope in a mortar, bowl, bottle or other sturdy surface suitable for grinding pills and containing the powder once ground.
- 5). Grind the pestle over the wax paper and pills by pressing it forcefully over the envelope. The wax paper will help keep the powder contained during the grinding process.
- 6). Open the wax envelope carefully to ensure none of the pill powder escapes, and shake the powder out onto the food or liquid with which you intend to ingest it.
