There Was a Problem Verifying the Certificate From the Server
- 1). Connect to the desired VPN. Open a Web browser and type "http://ipadress/certsrv," where "ipadress" is the IP address of the ISA server that hosts the root CA. Input the username and password when prompted.
- 2). Click "Download a CA certificate..." on the Welcome page. Click "Install a CA certificate chain link" on the next page, then click "Yes" at the Root Certificate Store dialog. Wait for the page that says the certificate has been successfully installed.
- 3). Click "Start," "Run," then type "mmc." Press "CTRL+M" then click "OK." Click "Certificates" in the menu, then click "Add," Click "My User Account," then click "Finish." Press "CTRL+M," then click "OK." Click "Certificates" in the menu, then click "Add." Click "Computer Account," then click "Finish."
- 4). Click the plus-sign (+) by "Certificates - Current User," then the plus-sign (+) by "Trusted Root CA," then click the "Certificates" folder. Find the certificate you downloaded earlier, highlight it, right-click, then click "Copy." Click the plus-sign (+) by "Certificates - Current User," then the plus-sign (+) by "Trusted Root CA," then click the "Certificates" folder. Right-click an empty space in the right panel and click "Paste." This imports the Root CA onto the computer, regardless of authentication. This creates an implicit trust rather than a dependent trust.
